School Calendar

Postby Zeebamom on Mon Apr 18, 2011 7:37 pm

Has the school calendar been set for next year yet? I haven't seen anything in a backpack (but calendars could be "lost" in a desk or two) and I'm curious about the first day of school. I'd like to start thinking about summer vacation plans. Thanks

I heard during the last school committee meeting that school would start on the Tuesday before Labor Day. The kids would go for three days that week (usually only 2) and would have Friday and Monday off. I am not sure if this is official yet which is probably why there has been no calendar released yet.

Does anyone have an update on this? There's nothing on the school district's website (besides the origianl schedule that was put out last August)... just wondering whether the 21st is still the last (half)day.

Yes. June 21 is the last day and it is a half day . This was confirmed at a recent School Committee meeting. Also, next Friday, May 27, is a half day.
