Come on now Bobby.....

I've been using Haffners gas for probably 30+ years, never had a problem...

Germano said their gas would be cheaper and damnit, it should be....besides

Citgo is owned and based in Venezuela....should be boycotting Chavez's lame ass fuel anyway....

I was stopping for gas there all the time until about 2 months ago when all of a sudden their prices were no longer at Haffner's level. I understand that sometimes they have to sell what they have in stock before they can give the lower price but they just aren't catching up so I'm back to Haffner's and Shell stations on 38. I actually saw $2.07 in Wilmington this morning across from t-stop.

Cumberland, Prime and Hess are all close by in Wilmington and are usually a day ahead of Haffners in lowering their prices.

I believe Cumberland's is a Gulf gasoline.

For some reason when I put either Hess, Prime or Heffnor's (?sp) My car burns the gas real fast...But if I put Mobil or Gulf (Cumberland Farms)I actually get a week out of a tank of gas...My husband says it's because the others water down their gas. I'd rather spend a little more to have the gas last, and not wreck my car...But lately the Gulf (Cumberland) in Wilmington has been cheaper then Heffner's.

Cumberland and Hess are usually the same. If there's anything to that, maybe Cumby's is the best? Anyone know anything about watered down gas?

Watered down gas is illegal and your car just wouldn't run on it, nevermind burn faster.

Indeed it is 10 cents above Haffners if you pay cash and 15 cents above Haffners if you pay with a credit card. What's up with that credit card hike anyway? Why do business do this? It makes them look cheap.

I noticed that he $1 off coupon offer is no longer on the Home page. Does anyone know if the Gateway Carwash is still honoring them? I printed some spares, but don't know if I should use them.

Bob,

You are correct, there is no expiration on the coupons. As for the prices of the gas, I do not own the station and do not know what the expenses are to run the site. I do know from being in the business for a short time, they usually run on a 10 cent profit margin. Again that is based on what it cost to run teh whole site, mortgage, electric, gas, payroll, etc. Has anyone had a problem with the wash. That is the only thing I can control. Lmk either good or bad.

I know I have been very happy with the wash - the hand drying at the end makes a big difference.

Has anyone used Gateway to have their car detailed (they do that, right??) I have an SUV and a dog and I really really really need to have the inside of the SUV washed because they both are starting to smell the same. I'm hoping for a reasonably priced place that does a good job.

Kav,

Check out the Car Wash web site for prices. We have been doing detailing for the whole summer and we are the lowest price around. www.gatewaycarwash.com.

Say what is up with the tractor trailers now parking/idling on the sidewalk/curb along East St. so they can run into Germano's store/Dunkin Donuts???? I thought the police were supposed to enforce this to NOT happen? That sidewalk and curb are getting all smashed down now. Not to mention that they park on the rise of that dangerous rise in the hill where it makes it even harder when you are trying to turn from Shawshee onto East as you are not able to see to the West clearly when there is a truck there?

Does anyone out there know if there is something in the permit to not allow this to occur? Or does the town need to put up some signs for the truckers????
