Copolla, Ryan, Gill - Why do they continue to vote Rick O'Ne

What do Selectmen Charles T Coppola, Joe Gill, and John Ryan all have in common? They voted to continue using Attorney Rick O'Neil as this town's labor counsel, despite everyone in the town voicing their opinions as to WHAT A HUGE CONFLICT OF INTEREST it is to have the lawyer who represents the most overdevelopment in town to also represent the interests of this town's labor? Hat's off to Selectmen Coldwell and Anderson for voting the conscience of the town and not their pocketbooks.

Maybe we should send the Selectmen the "Attorneys" page out of our local phone book to inform them that there are other attorney's out there to choose from? The mere appearance of constant conflicts of interest should be enough for this Town to hire another attorney as their labor counsel.

It really makes one wonder what is going on behind the scenes regarding the relationship between ONeil and certain board members and town officials who constantly look the other way when ONeil continues to blantantly treat people disrespectfully at Town Board meetings.

And our Town Officials keep wondering why we the public, are so suspicious...it really is sad that they don't get it. Or maybe they do and they don't care?

Well, the people can vote their conscience this Spring when Election Day comes around.

With few exceptions, this group of Selectmen have become stale and no longer representitive of the people.........Remember, a 20 year old clerk at the Texaco station gave a couple of these guys a scare in the recent elections, without any campaigning!!!
A CHANGE IS NEEDED, ......HONEST, VIABLE CANDIDATES NEEDED!!!!!

Just how long are the taxpayers in this town going to let the likes of Rick O'Neill and David Cressman lead them around by their noses.

Our sewer plans have been changed over and over again to be sure that the developers have easy access to the sewers. Streets have been taken out of the sewer plan phases over and over. We have built new schools and public buildings, while the looming spector of no water and no sewers has hung over our heads.

Trull Road was supposed to have sewers some years ago. What happened? A Selectman, a member of the Conservation Commission, the Town Clerk the Town Treasurer and a member of the Appeals Board got theirs. Then the sewer line went up Catamount Road.

Now we sit on Trull Road waiting to be flooded out by a new development off Andover Street. Our neighbors off Andover Street will get sewer at what price? Wake up. David Cressman made sure that the sewer went to his home. If we ever get rid of hime he can just walk away, while the taxpayers on one of the oldest streets in town will be holding the bag.

Three of our Selectmen have sewers, Joe Gill, Charles Coppola and John Ryan. Don't worry about Rick O'Neill he will prehaps move to one of the big bucks homes on Ames Hill.

Just follow the sewer lines and you will be able to read where Rick O'Neill and his developers will show up next.

These men have someting else in common, relating to O'Neil being the town's labor counsel.

Now, everyone puts on their thinking caps.

Why do I get the feeling this may be some sort of conflict of interest?

They were elected to serve all the people, not annointed to rule.

If anyone has figured it out- don't post it here.

What these selectmen have in common, some people on other boards, appointed or elected, also have in common. The answer lies in the posting by Bferrari.

Just keep it in your memory for future reference.

If you figure it out- post a "yes."
If you can't figure it out- post "no,"
Maybe I can think of a better hint...

Just reading my Tewks. Advocate, page 4, July 26, 2001.

Selectmen make their annual appointments.

It says that incumbent Gail Perdicaro lost a seat on the Conservation Commission. She was an aggressive member who publicly ridiculed the town manager and Attny O'Neill.

GOOD WORK MS. PERDICARO, and thank-you for your efforts in the representation of the people of this town on this board. The very fact that the Selectmen did not reappoint you is a giant message to all of us about where they stand on the priorties of this town.

We should all order our sump pumps now, or maybe order 2- we'll be needing them!

Hey, Disgusted, did you see these laws?

I don't know how those Selectmen can decide to hire him? I mean, the 3 that voted, in favor of him, have got alot of nerve even to vote at all on the matter. I don't know what to think. It's too bad.
