TEWKSBURY, MA – Have you moved to town in the past two years? Are you interested in learning more about what Tewksbury has to offer?

New residents are invited to the First Annual “Welcome to Tewksbury” Reception on Monday, October 23, 2017, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street).

New residents are encouraged to drop in anytime during the two hours to:

- Meet representatives from town government, schools, businesses, and community organizations.
- Learn about their services, programs, and volunteer opportunities.
- Pick up a free Welcome Bag filled with information, coupons, and gift items from Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce businesses.
- Enjoy conversation and light refreshments with other residents who are new to the community.

The Welcome to Tewksbury Reception is hosted by Tewksbury Public Library and the Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re so happy to be expanding our popular Welcome Receptions and Welcome Bag program into Tewksbury,” says Chamber Executive Director Nancy Vallee. “They’ve been a hit in Wilmington and we’re excited to provide the same opportunities to new Tewksbury residents.”

“The Library is honored to host this reception,” says Community Services Librarian Robert Hayes. “It’s really a natural fit as the library is a hub for community information and often one of the first places residents visit after moving to town.”

While the event is geared towards new residents, any resident who feels they would benefit from attending is welcome.
