Friends of the Tewksbury Patriotic Activities Committee 4th of July Celebration!!

Please join the Friends of the Tewksbury Patriotic Activities Committee for the Annual 4th of July Celebration happening Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the Livingston Street Recreation Area. The family activities are being brought to you by the Tewksbury Public Schools Community Services Department. Without them, the daytime events would not be happening

Schedule of events:

8:30-10:00 AM
Continental breakfast sponsored by the Tewksbury Rotary Club.
Breakfast will be held at the Livingston Park behind the Youth Center.

9:00-11:00 AM
Track and Field Games (all ages)

11:00-12:00 PM
Decorated Doll Carriage Contest (ages 3-6)
Bicycle Decoration Contest (ages 4-8)
Little Mr. and Miss Tewksbury Contest (ages 2-4)
Basketball Free Throw Contest

12:00-12:30 PM
Free hot dogs (while they last) and ice cream. Proudly served by the Tewksbury/Wilmington Lodge of Elks. Soda provided by the Knights of Columbus.

12:30-1:30 PM
Pie and Watermelon Eating Contests; sponsored by the Tewksbury Rotary Club

7:00 – 9:30 PMl
Live entertainment featuring “The Siracusa Project”

9:30 PM
Fireworks!!!!!!

I don't believe so Swamper. :(

It was touch and go for a while as to whether or not there would even *be* fireworks this year, so I don't think they were approached.

Thankfully, we found a couple of people to step up, so now we will have both daytime events and a concert/fireworks. I'm especially glad John Lyons & his Dept took over the daytime activities, because the daytime events were the first thing to go. Now let's hope it doesn't rain! LOL

The Teen Center Group did a great job..during the day they got the crowd going...they sold snacks, and stuff...and didnt milk us price-wise...John Lyons should be proud of his team!!
