Applebee's is honoring Veterans on 11/11.

The Friends of the Tewksbury Patriotic Activities Committee was formed in 2006 to promote and organize community funding and participation for patriotic events such as the Memorial Day parade, Veterans Day service, and Independence Day celebrations.

Applebee's has been a HUGE supporter of the Friends of the TPAC. Every year they provide FREE food to the crowds waiting for fireworks at Livingston Street on the 4th of July. They have done 2 different "dining to donate" programs with us. We want to make sure we support them in return!

As part of a national promotion that Applebee's is doing, Tewksbury Applebee’s is honoring all Veterans and Active Duty Military with a free meal on Veterans Day. Last year, Tewksbury Applebee’s served over 400 free meals to Veterans and Active Military Personal. This year they hope to give away 1000 free meals and create 1000 smiles.

According to General Manager Mike Calandrello “it was our busiest day of the year. The restaurant was filled with many men and women in uniform, both active and retired. One gentleman brought his Purple Heart to show everyone. It was an amazing sight. Every staff member left feeling like they were a part of something great and felt that the day was very rewarding and humbling. It was the BEST day I have ever worked in a 20-year career in this industry.”

Applebee's is inviting all Veterans and Active Military to have a free entree, and invite everyone else to come in and be a part of something special. As a veteran, you simply need to present proof of military service (which includes: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card; Wearing uniform; Veterans Organization Card etc.) Please visit http://www.applebees.com/vetsDay for more information. You can also leave a message of Thanks for our Veterans at Applebee's website. Applebee’s is located at 85 Main Street, Tewksbury, and is open daily from 11am – 12:30 am.

The Tewksbury Applebee's is a great example to other big store & restaurant chains of what being part of the community means.

Their promotions and fundraisers are incredible as are the efforts they make to help their community!

As much as I miss the main screen of the Drive-In, I'm glad Applebee's is there. ;)

Bravo to them for all they do for Tewksbury and our greater community! Thank you!

God Bless our Veterans! We are very lucky thanks to you!
