The Friends of the Tewksbury PAC, Inc. will be holding our annual Veterans Day Celebration at the Tewksbury Country Club on November 18, 2011 from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. Tickets are only $15.00 and include a series of raffle items, 50/50 raffle, hot and cold Hors D’oeuvres, a DJ, and dessert, coffee and tea at the end of the night.

Additionally, from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. the Tewksbury Fire Dept will be performing a pin-on ceremony for the promotion of 4 firefighters and the induction of 3 new firefighters. We are VERY happy to be working with the Fire Dept. on incorporating their ceremony into our Celebration.

This is one of only two fundraisers we will be holding thru next July to raise funds for the Memorial Day Service and Parade and the 4th of July. We REALLY need your help if we are going to continue to provide these EXCELLENT events which have become Tewksbury Traditions.

If you are interested in tickets please contact Jerry at 978-500-1662

The Veteran's Day Celebration at Town Hall was a great experience, as always. It would be so much better if we didn't have to hear from our state and local officials. No offense but this day is not about them. I would have preferred to have seen our veterans recognized. Have them come on stage and let us thank them for their service. They really deserve our appreciation.

Hearing from Major Stephen Flanagan was the highlight of the day. We really appreciate him sharing his experiences with us. If you log into the Patch you can listen to his speech.

If we could get a decent sound system in place, it would make the experience so much better. It's the same issue every year.....please find a way to make it so that all of us on the common can hear the speakers and the singers.
